These Evangelion figures from the premier Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo are officially licensed by Gainax and are one of the best examples of adult collectibles available. The first range of six figures features 2 each of Eva Unit 01, Sachiel (the first angel) and Rei Ayanami. Apart from the Rei figures, which are basically mini statuettes, these are all fully poseable and come with alternative arms and weaponry. Despite their small size (around 3-4"/7-8.5cm tall) the amount of detail on these figures is exemplary, and as they are ready painted they are perfect for display straight from the packaging. The quality means that more adventurous modellers can easily use them in vignettes recreating scenes from the series too. Containing some extremely small parts that require some fiddly assembly these are definitely not for young children, but, at just £3.99 each, older collectors should snap them up as soon as possible. |

A excellently crafted 1/6 scale statue which features Motoko Aoyama from Love Hina unsheathing her sword in the wind, this is the best statue Animetion UK have come across so far. Standing an impressive 14” tall, this statue is brilliantly painted and sculpted. It features a perfect colour scheme, facial features that match the manga Motoko exactly, streaks of light in her hair and superb wind-swept clothing. This is without doubt a perfect 3D representation of Love Hina's samurai schoolgirl. The statue is only limited to 600 pieces but at the time of writing is still available to order in all good major comic stores. If you are avid statue collector or are just starting your collection, don't let the price tag of £125-£140 put you off, this is one you cannot miss. |
